This hybrid seminar, taking place in Sofia and online, will bring together trade unions, representatives of occupational medicine services, training providers, business leaders and the regional labor inspectorate to discuss “Musculoskeletal Disorders Research, Analysis and Prevention in Industry, Services and Education”.

Discussions will focus on the prevention of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) caused by manual work with weights, the use of personal protective equipment, strict compliance with instructions, compliance with work and rest, the responsibility of employers for providing these conditions, among others. Particular attention will be paid to the requirements for the admission of workers to manual labour and industrial production. Challenges specific to the education sector, in particular those related to remote and online work, and long-term standing or sitting, will be also addressed.
